The Litaker Group and Higher Colleges of Technology (UAE) Sign a Memorandum of Understanding
Upon the successful completion of the Introduction to Disaster Management Course taught by The Litaker Group at the Abu Dhabi Men's College (HCT), both The Litaker Group and the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU). This MOU establishes a formal arrangement in which both parties agree to work together to develop and deliver professional training programs in the United Arab Emirates. As such, The Litaker Group and HCT have agreed to collaborate in the design, development, delivery, and awareness of disaster and emergency planning and training in the UAE. According to Dr. John R. Litaker, managing director of The Litaker Group, "this formal arrangement allows us to work with a respected, high-quality partner in the UAE in order to allow us to assist entities in the UAE and the GCC to become better prepared to respond to disasters." Litaker further noted "that this MOU supports our long-term goal to have a permanent office in Abu Dhabi." Currently, a series of five courses is being developed and will be taught in Abu Dhabi in 2009.
