Texas Health and Medical Strategic Vision
The Litaker Group completed work on the 2010 Texas Health and Medical Strategic Vision

Following nearly 18 months of work, The Litaker Group presented a draft report of the 2010 Texas Health and Medical Strategic Vision to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).
This vision is the culmination of three intense phases intended to determine both current and future health and medical (H&M) preparedness capabilities. In Phase 1, The Litaker Group conducted a comprehensive assessment of current H&M preparedness capabilities. This resulted in a series of reports to DSHS for each Health Service Region describing H&M capabilities across over 20 functionalities. A report aggregating this information at the state-level was produced in July 2007 and is available on this website.
Phase 2 of the vision included the data collection, evaluation, and synthesis piece to determine future H&M capabilities. In this Phase, work group sessions were held in 18 Texas cities with several hundred participants attending and providing feedback. On behalf of our staff, we would like to thank each and every participant for their time and input.
In Phase 3, the 2010 H&M Strategic Vision was crafted and made available for public comment. The final report was issued in July 2007.
