DADS Autism Focus Group
In July 2010, The Litaker Group conducted seven focus groups to obtain feedback from stakeholders on a new website for the Texas Autism Research and Resource Center (TARRC). This center, to be developed and managed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), was created by House Bill 1574. An initial service of this center is the creation of a website.
Stakeholders from within the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) community, families and professionals participated in these seven focus groups to provide feedback on the purpose, target audiences, content, and design of this website. A report of findings from each focus group was written and provided to DADS. In addition, a final report encompassing feedback from all of the focus groups was written and provided to DADS.
